Bob, I am a newly licensed barber completely lacking in even the basics in barbering skills (thanks to a terrible barber school). So thank you, thank you for sharing your invaluable years of knowledge. And thank you for your wonderful videos...I'm glued to them every time I watch one of them.

Yes, please, use my letter any way you wish. There are a lot of horrible barber schools out there that get away with teaching nothing. Students who are looking for classic barber training can find them in your videos.

I have two other DVDs of yours and I know where to look first when I need to learn how to cut a new hairstyle. I'm presently employed at an Air Force base in Greenland and I need to learn how to cut flattops. I'm so-so now and once I watch your DVD, I'll be GREAT!!

I received the Cuttin' Curly and the Flattop and Crewcuts videos yesterday and I watched the Cuttin' Curly first. Two of the haircuts, the bald fade and the brush fade, were the exacts cuts with which I was having some difficulty. I could not eliminate the lowest line in either cut. After watching the video, I know exactly why now. I had purchased another African-American haircutting dvd, but the explanation and demonstration techniques were very bad. A good barber does not make a good teacher, except for you and James James, of course!

I have been a hairdresser for 15 years, but i switched to a barber shop job on a military base some 18 months ago. It was a tough transition and i bought several educational pkgs in preparation. Yours is my lifesaver and a tremendously real and down-home inspiration.

We have 9 barbers and we do about 300 cuts a day. most barbers do 25 to 30 cuts a day, and a few do 40 or even 50 a day. Fun stuff!
